Richard Lyons is an award-winning director of photography with a strong visual style with a focus of putting story at the heart of his cinematography - whether it's fiction, documentary or digital asset creation for the internet, film or television. He started his career in the late 80s working for television affiliates, production companies and crewing companies throughout the US. While working for Network TV affiliates he produced, wrote, directed, shot and edited television commercials. In 1995 he and his family moved to Portland, Oregon to start his own business as a freelance director of photography and camera operator.
