Evan Oliver is a Director of Photography who spent his formative years telling human stories around the world. This exposure shaped his perspective and approach to creating atmosphere and emotion with light. He's found himself shooting commercials, documentaries, non-profit stories, and podcasts and leans into naturalistic lighting and movement. No matter what the project is, people are what draw him to the projects — both those who are featured in the piece and those working behind the scenes to make it happen. He travels all over the US and internationally for work and is comfortable on small tight-knit crews and leading large teams, whatever serves the story best. He continues to examine his own process and created Film Set Objects, a pre-production tool for filmmakers who also want to improve their work and the making of it.
