About
Connie Kirk is a Pacific Northwest based actor and writer, is well-traveled and most collaborative. She recently performed as Katharine Hepburn in Thomas L. Mason’s award-winning play, Heaven and Hollywood, at Lakewood Center for the Performing Arts.
With comedic and dramatic range, Connie landed a principal role as the nonsensical theologian, “The Smart Lady", in Tanner Parson’s film, Way to Heaven, an Official Selection at the Columbia Gorge Int’l Film Festival, and Honorable Mention recipient at the Love Unlimited Int’l Film Festival.
A vibrant spokesperson with stellar teleprompter skills, Connie has booked numerous corporate films, including Intel, Choice Hotels, MasterCard, commercials, print work and voice overs. She is Source Connect 4 capable.
Connie trained with Austin Pendleton at HB Studio, Patricia Stark for TV Hosting in New York, Shelly Lipkin in Portland, Oregon and at Curious Comedy Club, where she also performed. Connie is conversational in Spanish and speaks elementary Greek. Dialects include British RP, Greek, Southern, New York borough, and Minnesotan. She also delights in animated voices.
Formerly the marketing director and publicist for KenArnoldBooks, Connie promoted environmental advocate and Silver Nautilus Award Winner, The Reverend Nancy Roth (Grounded in Love: Ecology, Faith and Action), and award winning Oregonian poet, Daniel Skach-Mills (The Tao of Now). Connie’s published credits include humor, essays and poetry that have appeared in Funny Times, Angels on Earth Magazine, Defiance!, Afterthoughts, The Anchor, and Collages and Bricolages. She has written three middle grade books and seven picture books.
Born and raised in the Midwest, she earned her B.A. Degree in Speech Communication with a Minor in Spanish from the University of Minnesota. She worked as a Flight Attendant for a major airline, then completed her M.A. Degree in the Department of Media, Culture and Communication at NYU, where she also pursued doctoral studies under renown media philosopher, Dr. Neil Postman.
Interests include singing, dancing (including lively Greek folk), theatre, languages, travel, tennis, philanthropy and old movie classics. A member of SAG-AFTRA, Connie values warmth, wit and appearing in smart, funny, soulful roles.
