Known for thoughtful, character-driven storytelling and hands-on production in the Pacific Northwest, Gary has written, directed and edited six original features including CALVIN MARSHALL, PHOENIX OREGON, and the forthcoming ensemble PELICAN (2026), an art film that explores mid-life relationships and mental health in the wild beauty of the Oregon Coast. Gary has played a creative role on dozens of film projects, including the cinematography and editing on the hilarious Duplass Brothers series THE LONG LONG NIGHT. (Tribeca/SXSW). He is also the editor of the award-winning feature documentaries WHEN GIANTS FALL, EARTH SEASONED and DEAF SANTA CLAUS. Gary is the Co-Founder of Joma Films, which offers production and post-production services to indie filmmakers as well as distribution resources. "I love art that helps our souls grow.
