I specialize with improvisation and finding creative solutions for when plans fall apart and thourough observation. As a production designer, I have taken the initiative to find new locations and prepare set decorations when sets no longer became usable. I worked ahead of schedule when other crew members were entirely preoccupied and took calculated risks during uncertain crowdfunding campaigns. When short on actors, I filled in for bit parts. If other creative decisions fell through the pipeline, I would finish whatever wasn't a priority, such as cleaning up animation cels.
About
A self-starter with a variety of different experiences, Gavin Knox earned his BA in film studies from Portland State University in 2025 and got interested in film after studying acting. A motivated self-starter before receiving a formal film education, he taught himself videography and produced documentaries and promotional videos. Since then, he has strived to combine his talent in the visual arts with media production. He has produced documentaries for creators at the Denver Museum of Art, crewed on award-winning shorts made in less than 48 hours, and has five years of videography experience.
