I am a Portland based Iranian American fine artist & first time filmmaker. I use artifacts from my heritage to tell stories of gender equity & civil liberty through my art. Researching for my art practice, I fell into a rabbit hole learning about Iranians and our connection to dogs. The story I uncovered is too important to tell quietly through my emerging art practice, so I decided to develop it in narrative form as a feature documentary.
