Creatives of Color Oregon (COCO) invites you to our February virtual screening on Tuesday, February 10 at 6:00 PM, featuring the compelling short documentary Leaders of Men by Portland-based filmmaker Lorenzo Lowe III.
Leaders of Men takes you inside the world of Jefferson Demos head football coach Anthony Stoudamire, revealing a powerful portrait of leadership that goes far beyond the playbook. Through an intimate, character-driven lens, the film explores mentorship, accountability, and the profound impact coaches have on shaping young men—on and off the field.
Lorenzo Lowe III is a documentary and narrative filmmaker known for centering community-rooted stories and finding humanity in everyday moments. Drawing inspiration from cinéma vérité, his work emphasizes authenticity, lived experience, and meaningful connection. Lorenzo is currently expanding Leaders of Men into a feature-length documentary, deepening its exploration of leadership through the relationships between coaches and players.

COCO is proud to present the first installment of their 2026 virtual series.
We'll kick things off this Thursday with the amazing director @haleymccoy98 and her crew: @mmaria.mmoreno @robert.anthony and @tw_micheau as they present their short film 'Echo'.
This short film was one of our 2025 CineSeen finalists and left a mark on our audience, so we're incredibly fortunate to be able to share it with the rest of our OMPA community.
