COCO Virtual Screening: ‘Leaders of Men’
What’s up My People!
It’s February, so we have to honor Black History Month, we’re excited to gather in celebration of Black leadership, mentorship, and community storytelling — and we’d love to see you there.
Join Creatives of Color Oregon (COCO) for our monthly virtual screening on Tuesday, February 10 at 6:00 PM, featuring the short documentary Leaders of Men by Portland-based filmmaker Lorenzo Lowe III.
Leaders of Men follows Jefferson High School’s head football coach Anthony Stoudamire and explores leadership that goes far beyond X’s and O’s. Rooted in care, accountability, and legacy, the film highlights the vital role Black coaches and mentors play in shaping young men on and off the field — a powerful reflection of the everyday leadership worth honoring during Black History Month.
Following the screening, we’ll be joined by the filmmaker for a live conversation and community discussion.
Whether you’re a filmmaker, aspiring artist, creative, educator, coach, or community supporter, this space is for you. COCO exists to uplift the voices, stories, and talent shaping Oregon’s film and creative industries. You don’t have to be a creator of color to show up—come connect, learn, reflect, and celebrate the stories that move our communities forward. Share this and invite your community.
