Creatives of Color Oregon 2024 is the initiative by OMPA dedicated to cultivating a welcoming and diverse community where creatives of color can find support, and access resources that propel their careers so they can thrive within Oregon’s film and production industry. COCO’s mission is to expand opportunities for creatives of color in career advancement, collaboration, and community growth, with a commitment to inclusivity in every endeavor.

Our vision is a future where Oregon’s film and production landscape is a welcoming model of inclusivity and diversity, empowering creatives of color to grow, connect, and succeed equitably at every stage of their careers, so they can lead, innovate, and thrive with their voices, perspectives, and contributions.

COCO empowers creatives of color by connecting participants with the Oregon Media Production Association (OMPA), highlighting its initiatives, resources, and membership benefits. Through engaging events, COCO encourages connections with other OMPA supported programs like the Pathways program and Cine/Seen, and provides essential tools for navigating and excelling in Oregon’s media landscape.
