Seasonal Party
Thursday, December 12, 6:30 pm

At the Eugene, Cascades & Coast Adventure Center
3312 Gateway Street
(adjacent to Best Buy and Michael’s Crafts)
Springfield, Oregon

Rather than the usual single-presenter meeting, we’re doing a “Run what ya brung” format so members and friends can bring short films or clips of their work to screen whether involved as talent or crew. Your presentation can include finished works, works in progress, commercials, sizzle reels, whatever you have that’s short and sweet. Presenters should be prepared to talk a bit about their films and answer brief questions from the crowd. Printed handouts are welcome as well. We have no set time limit but let’s try and keep them short out of consideration for other attendees bringing clips. If time permits, folks not having clips of their work will be invited to share what they’ve been up to. e.g., films in progress, TV commercials, etc.

The Adventure Center has a PC laptop computer and we’ll also have a Mac and a DVD player available. If you have a special needs format or media, consider having your presentation device with you and we’ll help set up the connections.

If you plan to screen something we’d like a clue about run time. Drop an RSVP email to Jeff Johnston at splco-mwry@comcast.net, or call him at 541-914-1152 and we will screen in order of contact.

MOPAN’s holiday party is always a fun opportunity to mingle, network, watch some cool videos, eat, sip and enjoy the spirit of the season with our like-minded associates. See you there!

michael-jackson-thriller-vinyl.jpgproducers and creatives formalized a campaign to bring more jobs into Oregon and set professional standards for the work that is done here, and formed the Oregon Media Production Association. Thirty years later we are still trucking, and media production is one of the brightest stars in Oregon's economic landscape.    Oregon's Got Talent
Friday, September 28 • 7pm

at Indent Studios, Portland

featuring Superfine Actor Awards

$10 suggested donation
for the Media Production Caucus of the Oregon Legislature

"Oregon's Got Talent" celebrates the breadth and excellence of actors among Oregon's media production industry, including the Superfine Actor Awards in recognition of excellence in craft and community building. This has been OMPA's best-attended community event, and if past years are any indication, it will be quite a party.

This year's "Oregon's Got Talent" launches and raises funds for the bi-partisan Oregon legislative caucus for media production, with the $10 suggested donation going to candidates who support the development of jobs in Oregon's media production industry.

This is our industry's way of giving back to the legislators who make our state programs happen. Everyone we talk to about growing jobs and business opportunities in Oregon’s industry loves this program, so there is no partisanship here – just cooperation and support.
