The Oregon Media Production Association (OMPA) is proud to announce and welcome Lisa Cicala as the organization's Executive Director. Ms. Cicala will be responsible for leading the growth of the 35-year-old organization and representing its mission to members, potential members, legislative bodies and industry stakeholders.

"As a former OMPA employee and past OMPA Board President, Lisa has a unique perspective and deep understanding of the needs of the organization, as well as the leadership skills and forward-thinking vision required to take the organization to the next level," says current OMPA Board President Jacqueline Gault. "I had the pleasure of serving on the board under Lisa’s tenure, and she impressed me with her intelligence and integrity. We were all very excited when she expressed interest in the position."

In addition to her past service to OMPA, Lisa is an accomplished producer and editor, most recently serving as the Senior Producer/Editor for Mercy Corps. There she produced nearly 150 videos, 12 of them Telly award winning, and regularly hired crew, writers and post professionals to support those productions. "As someone who comes from a small team, I value having an organization that connects me to the industry at large and the incredible pool of talent there is to work with here. I have experienced first hand the benefits of OMPA because I've been a member myself for the last decade." Ms. Cicala will be taking over for Janice Shokrian, who served as Executive Director from December 2015 to October 2017.

“It’s an exciting time to be working in the media production industry and to be part of the Oregon Media Production Association,” says Cicala. “Business is strong, great stories are being told and the talent in our community is deep and diverse. I’m excited to be taking the helm of this well established organization and helping ensure we continue to connect and advocate for our members across the state. I look forward to working with our members, supporters and partners in the years to come.”

Please join us in welcoming Lisa at our Annual Meeting at the Hollywood Theatre on Monday, Jan 22nd, 2018. Doors open at 6:30 pm, presentation starts at 7:30 pm. Food & drink provided. Space is Limited, please RSVP here.
