Nico Bovat is a documentary editor based in Portland, OR. She discovered her passion for art at a young age, later receiving her BA in Interdisciplinary Fine Arts. Through her exploration of various storytelling mediums, she was eventually drawn to the intuitive and sensitive nature of film editing. Nico’s work as an editor has been featured on PBS, NBC, Vice, The Atlantic, and Short of The Week, and has received 7 Vimeo Staff Picks. In 2019, Nico edited the short film, "Quilt Fever" which premiered at AFI Docs and screened at DOC NYC and SXSW. Nico was also the editor and co-writer of the feature film, "Somewhere with No Bridges," which won the Audience Award at Salem Film Festival 2020. Nico recently wrapped her second feature film edit with ITVS and Independent Lens, "Move Me," which premiered at Full Frame Film Festival in 2022.
