I am a 30 plus year Property Master in the Entertainment Industry. I currently serve as the Business Agent for IATSE Local 488, Studio Mechanics of the Pacific Northwest. My goals with Board Membership on OMPA aligns with my vision for IATSE 488 in creating a culture of inclusion and transparent action on behalf of the membership, and focusing work on bettering the lives for all who depend on our industry for their livelihood.
Why are you interested in serving on OMPA’s Board of Directors? What’s your past involvement with OMPA?
- Continuing to build the capacity of the organization while shoring up the finances to make OMPA sustainable.
- Continue to build Advocacy efforts to support the Digital Media ecosystem and support efforts to increase size and scope of OPIF in order to attract more productions
- To increase diversity, equity and inclusion in the industry through creation of a D-OPIF (Diversity Oregon Production Incentive Fund) and continuing the development and growth of the Oregon Media Pathways Program.
What is your vision for OMPA and the community at large? How do you see yourself contributing to this vision?
The more we work as a collective the better gains for everyone that may be attained. So my vision is creating a sustainable ecosystem where local and state governments participate with industry stakeholders to create offices and funding streams which regard and effectively promote our work as they support other major industries with support for workforce and economic development.
