Over 70 volunteers, with the majority being OMPA members, descended upon the State Capital on Tuesday, February 2nd to lobby for increasing Oregon’s Production Incentive Fund, (OPIF). The Capital was abuzz with our members meeting with Senators, Representatives and the Speaker of the House.
Legislators also had the opportunity to visit the Gallery where the Oregon Film Office and OMPA arranged for interactive displays to demonstrate the quality and depth of opportunities available in our industry. Legislators were thrilled to sit down with The Librarians’ Christian Kane for a one-on-one interview, and Grimm’s Danny Bruno was a welcome surprise with our legislators as he visited their offices and conducted impromptu on-camera interviews.
