Oregon’s Media Production Directory Spins Off New URL – SourceOregon.com
December Deadline to List Goods and Services to the Film and Video Industry


Portland, OR – The Oregon Media Production Association (OMPA) has launched a new URL www.SourceOregon.com – to collect listings for The Source, the directory of virtually every service, product and freelance worker qualified to contribute to the state’s growing film & video industry. The revised online format saves paper, and streamlines the call for listings process. The OMPA renews and acquires more than 1000 directory listings each year.

 

 

 

Economic Impact 2007
Oregon Film and Video Industry Shows Big Gains
This just released economic report, commissioned by the Governor’s Office of Film & Television, illustrates the major impact that the Film and Video Industry has on the Oregon economy.  The study shows that the industry generated $1.39B of combined direct and indirect economic impact, representing a 41% increase over 2005.

Media Arts Education Grants Available
OMPA has received wonderful responses for the 2009 Edward Gustamante Media Arts Education Grants. Every year OMPA awards grants in three categories: Individual Education Scholarship, Project-Based Scholarship, and Scholastic Program Scholarship. Recipients will be announced at the Final Cut Classic July 17..
