Trapped within a masquerade of temptation, a bankrupt opportunist attempts to save his wife’s estate from an insidious oil baron.
Announcing the official premiere of the short film, Masks of Desire. Over the past year, hundreds from our community have collobrated on this independent film project. From our fundraising campaign, to our ballroom filming party, the PNW community has played a crucial role in bringing this film to life! Well, the wait is finally over and we could not be more excited to premiere our work right here in Portland Oregon at Cinema 21. The night will begin with a brief introduction by director Jesse Vinton and producer Andrea Tomoe, followed by the film and then a short question and answer session with the team. We will then proceed to the main lobby of the theater for a social hour with the cast and crew where wine, beer and food will be available. We cannot wait to see you all and share this special night with the folks who helped bring this film to life!
There is no required cost of entry, however we are encouraging a suggested donation of $10-$20 per ticket (Please RSVP HERE). This money is crucial to help with our film festival fund and to ensure that the film has a life beyond our premier. We are currently submitting our film to festivals all over North America and Europe. Consider that each festival averages a $60 submission fee x 30 or more festivals = $$ you get the idea : ) Beyond these initial application fees, we will encounter significant travel costs for key members of the team to best represent the film’s exhibition in person. Donations can be made here through the ticket link or on site at the premiere. It’s through your continued support that will help ensure we are able to share our slice of NW filmmaking with the world!

Important note on parking at the premiere – While there is street parking options around the theater, we would suggest utilizing the surface parking lot at Lovejoy and 20th, which is available for C21 Patrons. There is also the Legeacy Emanual parking garage at 22nd and Lovejoy. Follow this link for info: http://www.cinema21.com/parking.html
While navigating an indulgent masquerade party, a bankrupt opportunist tests his fate with three different masks, each leading down a unique path of seduction. With an insidious oil baron after his wife’s estate, and the ecological fate of a Native American reservation hanging in the balance, Maxwell is faced with a series of choices that have unimaginable consequences. Will his soul find redemption, or will he be consumed by his own temptations? Between your wildest dreams and your darkest nightmares is a mask called desire.
